Protest planned over Glasgow's new hospital name

PROTESTORS are planning to take their fight against the naming of Glasgow's new £842 million hospital after Queen Elizabeth to its doors.

The organiser of a petition calling for the new royal name to be dropped said a peaceful demonstration by the Govan Road entrance is planned for Friday.

He stressed the campaigners were serious about their aim and intended a civil protest.

Royals branded hypocrites after selling books featuring aereal pics of homes in gift shop

THE Royal Family has been accused of hypocrisy by making money from aerial photographs of the Queen and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's homes despite stopping others taking such pictures.

Thanks for that lovely photo, Fragrance..   :shinystar:  It looks to be a beautiful book.

So, it's an article in the Express probably instigated by someone who doesn't agree with the no fly zone ban over Sandringham while the Queen is in residence for three months.
The ban was put in place by authorities after due consideration so I can only think that they reasoned a real  threat to safety and a difficulty policing air traffic warranting the measure.  Security is being stepped up in all sorts of ways - with more at airports etc.

As for selling books - historical places of interest usually have written accounts of the properties for sale -  with detailed pictures.  Any profits should rightly benefit  building upkeep.

I'm gay, says the Queen's cousin - but I'm not 100% comfortable: Royal who is godfather to Prince Edward's eldest child introduces the new man in his life (who does yoga with his ex-wife!)

Lord Ivar Mountbatten has confessed that he's not fully comfortable being a gay man despite finding love with boyfriend James Coyle.

The 53-year-old has become the first member of the extended Royal Family to “come out” as a gay man, and his family are completely supportive.

Mountbatten, who is cousin to The Queen and the son of the 3rd Marquess of Milford Haven, he is the great-great-great- grandson of Queen Victoria, who has three children with his ex-wife is godfather to Lady Louise Windsor.

Good for them. There must have been many royals who never got out of the closet who led (lead) sad, secretive lives.
